Help us promote Child Abuse Prevention Month!

Annual 5K walk to help raise funds to help prevent child abuse and neglect in your community!

Come out and show your support for Child Abuse Prevention Month! We will be having a 5K walk starting at 9:00 AM. Adult participants will receive a T-shirt with a paid-purchased ticket * ($30 per registration). Kids will have free face painting, bracelets, and bubbles. Water and snacks will be provided for all participants. Pets are welcome.

* Children are free to attend but will not receive an event T-shirt unless a ticket has been purchased for them.

Check-in begins at 8:30 AM across the street from the Conyers Welcome Center. Please make sure to wear comfortable attire. This is a rain or shine event; no refunds will be given.

All tickets and sponsorships must be purchased by April 4, 2025, to have your business name and/or logo on the event T-shirt and/or to receive a T-shirt on the event day. Tickets to walk may still be purchased after this date, but T-shirts may not be available.

Thank you so much for your support!

Programs we serve in the community (all free of charge!) -

Rockdale & Newton Parent Support Program - Intensive, weekly in-home evidence-based parenting program which serves parents of children ages 0 - 5 for 3 - 6 months. Services include Case Management, Life Skills, Resources & Referrals, Advocacy, Mentoring, and Educational Supports.

First Steps - An early intervention family support program that works with families whose babies are born at Piedmont Rockdale. It connects new parents with community resources and provides parenting information, which strengthens the family and promotes maternal and infant health. The First Steps Program provides car Seat Safety Classes and Safe Sleep Classes.

Educational Support Program—This program provides an Educational Support Coordinator who serves as a liaison between families and their child's teacher and Student Success Coaches who work one-on-one with students each week. This program strengthens family engagement while providing educational support, advocacy, mentoring, resources, and referrals.

Family Success Center - Provides concrete resources to families who we are working with at local elementary schools through our Educational Support Program who are in need of assistance. We provide parents with in-home parenting programs and access to our Family Success Center.
